2023 Poster Contest

The deadline to submit a poster abstract is March 28, 2023

The National Forum for Black Public Administrators has partnered with the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs and the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts to host the 2023 poster contest.

The Student Research Poster Contest will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The competition recognizes research conducted by the students at all undergraduate, master and doctorate levels. All students are encouraged to submit for this competition. In order to be eligible for the poster contest, all applicants must be currently enrolled in a traditional four-year college or university with at least one academic semester remaining after April 2023. All payments will be made to the university.

Topic: 3rd RECONSTRUCTION

What would an effective Third Reconstruction look like in the practice of public administration? Which policies, laws, structures, and systems would be changed? How would impacted communities be uplifted and cherished in an inclusive and sustainable Reconstruction? This poster should showcase theory and practice associated with a moral fusion movement necessary to revive and advance our most precious Constitutional and moral values for people of color and low-income and poor communities.


     Awards for Undergrad and Graduate:

  • 1st Place $2,500
  • 2nd Place $1,500
  • 3rd Place $1,000

Students are eligible to apply for the Poster Contest and one or more Scholarships
but will not be eligible to win both.
